swiperanked is an independent comparison site. We compare mainstream dating apps, score them on a consistent rubric, and publish a short list of the ones worth your time — along with practical advice for using them well.
How we score
Every app is evaluated on the same three dimensions:
- Match quality — do the people you're shown resemble the people you asked for?
- Member intent — are users there for the same reasons the app advertises?
- Value — how far does the free tier take you, and is the paid tier honestly priced?
We revisit scores regularly. Apps get dropped when their experience slips — a spot in our top five is rented, never owned.
How we make money
When you sign up for an app through a link on this site, that app may pay us a referral fee. That's the entire business model — no subscriptions, no selling your data, no sponsored placements disguised as editorial. Compensation can affect which apps we list, but it does not affect the scores we give them. The full version of this is in our advertiser disclosure.
Our editorial standards
Everything published here follows the same rules: no outcome guarantees, no invented statistics or testimonials, clear labeling of referral links, and a hard line between editorial assessment and compensation. When something stops being true — an app's experience slips, a claim stops being defensible — we update or remove it. Spot something that doesn't meet that bar? Tell us and we'll fix it.
What we're not
We're not a dating service, we don't create profiles, and we can't guarantee you'll meet anyone — anyone who promises that is selling something worse. We just try to make your first decision — which app deserves your ten minutes — an informed one.
